Karen Jensen

Karen Jensen is President and CEO of Farnsworth Group, Inc., a full-service engineering firm based out of Illinois. The company has a rich tradition having been in operation for over 100 years. Currently, Farnsworth has over 300 employees and a nationwide network of offices in Illinois, California, Missouri, Colorado, Wisconsin and Georgia. Karen Jensen has over 25 years of experience with a number of different companies. She graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and later from Illinois State University where she received her Master of Business Administration.

Karen Jensen, Community Involvement

As President and CEO of Farnsworth Group, Karen Jensen has been involved with many different projects and she especially appreciates the impact her company can make on different communities. Farnsworth Group was recently lauded for their involvement as the lead Architect/Engineer for the City of Peoria’s expansion and renovation of their library facilities.

Karen Jensen and Farnsworth Group employees recently participated in the 27th Annual Childrens Miracle Network Telethon, which raised $3.5 million for the Childrens Hospital of Illinois. The fundraising event raised more than one million dollars more than last years event for a total of $3.5 million.

Karen Jensen feels especially proud of Farnsworth Group’s work with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. The company served as the architect/engineer for a 28,000 square foot research center committed to the research of molecular, cellular and genetic characteristics associated with cancer. Karen Jensen enjoys the fact that her company is aiding in the process for discovering a cure for cancer.
